A exemplo de anos anteriores, a MUSICA PT estará mais uma vez representada na próxima edição da Feira de Música WOMEX (World Music Exhibition) que
decorrerá na cidade espanhola de Sevilha, entre 24 e 28 de Outubro próximo.
Este é o primeiro ano em que a MUSICA PT se apresentará como marca associada ao projecto “Associação de Promotores da Música de Portugal” (APMP) uma associação sem fins lucrativos, que congrega empresas, indivíduos e instituições, com actividade na área da música portuguesa. São objectivos centrais da APMP a divulgação e a promoção da Música Portuguesa no estrangeiro, funcionando a MUSICA PT como “chapéu de chuva” das diversas organizações associadas que desejem estar representadas em eventos internacionais, como é o caso da WOMEX.
Em Sevilha, a MUSICA PT reservou quatro stands, localizados no Pavilhão 1 da Feira, respectivamente F26 e F27 e G26 e G27. Nele estarão representadas, para além da MUSICA PT, as seguintes organizações: ALGARPALCOS, ESPANTA ESPÍRITOS, HM MÚSICA, MAGIC MUSIC, OCARINA, VACHIER & ASSICIADOS e o Festival ATLANTIC WAVES (sediado em Londres).
Paralelamente à representação física no “stand”, foram editados materiais de promoção da MUSICA PT, dos quais destacamos o cartaz central, um desdobrável bilingue e diversos formatos impressos. Foi, igualmente, inserido um anúncio na revista inglesa “SongLines”, que será distribuída gratuitamente a todos os delegados na Feira.
Com esta representação, a mais importante de sempre, a MUSICA PT dá mais um passo na solidificação de um organismo que tardava em constituir-se e que, nos últimos dois anos, soube conquistar a confiança de um número crescente de aderentes a uma causa comum: a divulgação e projecção de música portuguesa de qualidade no estrangeiro.
JÚRI PORTUGUÊS NA WOMEX
Rui Mota, actual presidente da APMP, foi o representante português escolhido para integrar o júri WOMEX deste ano, responsável pela selecção de artistas que actuarão nos “showcases” da feira.
Entre os 40 grupos e artistas individuais seleccionados, haverá um grupo português, os “Gaiteiros de Lisboa” (nova música tradicional) cuja actuação está prevista para a noite de sábado, 27 de Outubro, pelas 22h30, no Pavilhão 2 da Plaza de España (junto ao Teatro Lope de Vega).
MUSICA PT AT WOMEX
Once again MUSICA PT will be represented at the next edition of WOMEX (World Music Exhibition) that will occur in the Spanish city of Seville, between the 24th and 28th October.
This is the first year MUSICA PT will present itself as a BRAND associated to the project APMP (Association of the Portuguese Music Promoters), a non-profit association that congregates enterprises, individuals and institutions, with activity in the area of the Portuguese Music. These are central aims of the APMP, the divulgation and promotion of Portuguese Music abroad, with MUSICA PT as an “umbrella” of the various associated organizations that wish to be represented in international events, such as WOMEX.
In Seville, MUSICA PT has reserved four stands, located at the Pavilion 1 of the Exhibition, respectively F26 and F27, G26 and G27. There will be represented, besides MUSICA PT, the following organizations: ALGARPALCOS, ESPANTA ESPÍRITOS, HM MÚSICA, MAGIC MUSIC, OCARINA, VACHIER & ASSOCIADOS and the Festival ATLANTIC WAVES (based in London).
Together with this physical representation at the stand, was edited promotional stuff of MUSICA PT, of which we point out the central poster, a bilingual folder and several printed formats. There was also posted an advertisement at the English magazine SongLines, which will be freely distributed to all delegates at the Exhibition.
With this delegation, the most important up to now, MUSICA PT walks one more step towards the solidification of an organism that took long to establish itself, still conquering the trust of an increasing number of partners in a common cause: the divulgation and projection of quality Portuguese Music abroad.
PORTUGUESE JURY AT WOMEX
Rui Mota, the actual chairman of APMP, was the Portuguese representative chosen to join this year’s WOMEX Jury, responsible for the selection of the artists that will perform at the “showcases” of the Tradefair.
Between the 40 selected groups and individual artists, there will be a Portuguese group, “Gaiteiros de Lisboa” (new traditional music), whose performance is foreseen to the night of Saturday, 27th October, by 10.30 p.m.
